What Ensai Notes Enhancement does
Ensai Notes Enhancement helps you after the session is over, and you have already drafted your note, even if that note is largely unstructured, stream-of-consciousness shorthand.
From there, one click turns your draft into cleaner, more complete documentation. Nothing gets recorded, and nothing happens during the session itself. Your clinical judgment and your voice stay at the center; Ensai just tightens up what you already put down. If you’ve ever used a tool like Grammarly or your email provider’s AI suggestions, you’re already familiar with the concept.
Ensai Notes Enhancement is a great option if a client has declined recording, if recording wasn’t possible, or if you simply didn’t need or want a note drafted for you.

What Ensai Session Assistant does
Ensai Session Assistant is an AI scribe. Once client consent is in place, it records the session, in person or telehealth, and drafts your note. That means no splitting your attention between the conversation and the keyboard or notepad. You stay fully present. When the session ends, Ensai Session Assistant begins to generate a SOAP-formatted summary of your session.
You review the draft, edit as needed, and sign. You don’t have to copy and paste anything because Ensai Session Assistant is built right into TheraNest and it places the draft in the right field of your note template.
Ensai Session Assistant also includes AI Case Summaries: a structured recap of a client’s goals, treatment, and progress, built from their signed documentation. The case summary is available for you to review at any time, such as right before a session starts.

How to choose
- If most of your clients are comfortable with recording, Ensai Session Assistant does the most for you. It handles the first draft, captures the full session, and frees you up to focus entirely on your client.
- If you mostly document manually, or your clients often decline recording, Ensai Notes Enhancement covers you at no cost. You keep your current workflow and get stronger notes out of it. And when you’re ready, you can try Ensai Session Assistant free for 21 days. New TheraNest customers get Ensai Session Assistant included in their free trial, while existing customers can start a 21-day trial of Ensai Session Assistant from Manage Subscription in TheraNest.
- If your caseload is a mix, use both. Ensai Session Assistant becomes your default when consent is in place, and Ensai Notes Enhancement backs you up for everything else. Since Ensai Notes Enhancement is free, there’s no tradeoff in keeping it in your toolkit.
Client privacy, data security, and clinician control are built in
No session is ever recorded without consent from your client. Client PHI is never used to train AI models. Session recordings get deleted within 24 hours of your note being finalized. And every note, whether Ensai drafted it or enhanced it, stays a draft until you review and sign it.

How to start your Ensai Session Assistant trial
1. Go to Manage Subscription. Log in to TheraNest and open Organization, then Manage Subscriptions. Then find Ensai Session Assistant in the area where you manage licenses.
2. Start the 21-day trial. Choose the free trial option. Once the trial starts, eligible therapists can begin using Ensai Session Assistant.
