Made for therapy
Your clients came to be heard. Ensai Session Assistant handles the notetaking so you can give them your full attention during the session, instead of splitting it with notes. Just start the in-person or telehealth session and don’t worry about the notes, give all your focus to your client.
Ensai Session Assistant was built specifically for mental health work, so it picks up clinical themes, interventions, and client progress. Every draft is fully editable, and you’re the one who signs the final note.
Client privacy is non-negotiable. We delete recordings within 24 hours of note finalization and never sell client PHI or use it to train AI. Ensai Session Assistant meets the same HIPAA and security standards as the rest of TheraNest, so you can use it without compromising your clients’ privacy.
A day with Ensai Session Assistant
Walk in already caught up
AI Case Summaries pulls signed notes, assessments, and treatment plans into a quick read on where your client has been. Pull it up five minutes before a returning session, in supervision, or when you’re handing off a case, so you’ve got context without digging through the chart.

A draft waiting when the session ends
Hit record at the start of your in-person or telehealth session in TheraNest. When it ends, Ensai Session Assistant starts generating a SOAP-formatted draft into the AI field on your progress note. You review, edit, and sign.
Focus on your client, not the documentation
Even between back-to-back sessions, your previous note is ready for you to review by the time you’re back at your desk. Documentation stays current throughout the day instead of stacking up for the weekend.

Ensai Session Assistant is for mental health clinicians who want to stay more present with their clients during sessions and spend less time writing notes after.
It works for in-person and telehealth sessions in TheraNest. After a recorded session ends, Ensai Session Assistant creates a session summary that you can pull into your progress note, review, edit, and sign.
To start using Ensai Session Assistant, enable it in TheraNest and complete consent setup.
Here’s what to do:
- Enable Ensai Session Assistant in your TheraNest account settings.
- Record your own clinician consent in your profile.
- Confirm client consent the first time you record their session. Consent only needs to be given once if you store it in their chart.
- Start your in-person or telehealth session and record it as usual.
After the session ends, Ensai Session Assistant creates the SOAP summary content automatically. When you create your progress note using a template that includes the AI field, the summary appears in that field for you to review and edit. The system creates the content, but you create the note.
