Client experience

Long before clients decide whether therapy is working, they decide how it feels to be your client. Every touchpoint, from the first phone call to the final session, shapes whether they stay, refer friends, and come back when they need care again. Learn how to measure that experience, spot the gaps, and build a practice clients recommend.

What the data says about client experience

More than 1,100 therapists weighed in for our Practice Success report. Client experience ranks first in importance, and nearly last in what practices actually measure.

68% have no reliable way to learn why a client leaves before finishing treatment.

Among practices that call client experience a clear strength, only 28% actually track it.

Thriving practices are about twice as likely to feel sure about how their clients experience their care, 55% versus 27%.
